Contracts Manager / Director for Defense FAR / DFAR
Job Description
GNR has been retained to identify a CONTRACTS MANAGER / DIRECTOR for a growing DEFENSE manufacturing organization in the Melbourne, FL region. The company’s product portfolio is well-positioned for aggressive growth in very niche domestic & international markets.
This is a “hands-on” position where you will play a significant role in the writing & execution of complex fixed-price Defense contracts and subcontracts, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Ensure DoD compliance & Gov’t requirements at met for mission critical programs.
- Build and establish the policies & procedures infrastructure as the company grows.
- Identify and mitigate contract risks, manage contracts full life cycle through delivery
- Be the point of contact for any supporting DCMA / DCAA discussions
- Collaborate with PM’s, Business Development, Production & Finance teams on proposals
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Contracts experience for DEFENSE PRODUCT MANUFACTURING environment
- Able to negotiate, create, review, execute and capture Government DoD Contracts & interfacing with government officials.
- In-depth experience with FAR / DFARS, EAR, FMS, ITAR and understanding of different contract types - FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M.
- US Citizenship required + ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
