PRODUCTION / OPERATIONS MANAGER for CNC Precision Machining
Job Description
GNR has been retained by a well-established & growing organization specializing in advanced CNC machining & manufacturing needs a new OPERATIONS MANAGER in the Rochester, NY region!
This low volume – high mix, tight tolerance machining facility runs 2 shifts and has a healthy backlog of work with a solid team in place and low attrition!
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will play a significant role in managing daily production and operations needs and manage & mentor 20+ direct reports.
- You will be accountable for all site production efforts, drive Continuous Improvements & LEAN events, ensure safety & AS9100 / ISO9001 compliance, product quality, root cause analysis & corrective actions and support NPI for DFM.
- Manage budgets, increase cost efficiencies, equipment needs and collaborate with all depts to update processes, procedures & policies to meet production goals.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 7+ years of leadership running CNC Machining & Tooling production operations for manufacturing & assembly
- In-depth understanding of production schedules, resource allocation, process improvements, equipment maintenance schedules, capacity planning
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence change & collaborate with team members.
- LEAN & Continuous Improvement principles
- US Citizenship
