OPERATIONS - PRODUCTION MANAGER / DIRECTOR for metal treatments
Job Description
Due to rapid growth this privately owned, Rochester, NY based organization specializing in metal plating & coatings is seeking an OPERATIONS - PRODUCTION MANAGER / DIRECTOR! The company is very stable with a solid backlog of business.
You’ll play a significant role in the organization's continued growth - reporting directly to the VP of Operations, we’re looking for a “HANDS-ON” leader to manage day-to-day production / operations needs. Be part of a very positive & collaborative leadership team.
- You will be accountable for all site production efforts, drive Continuous Improvements & LEAN events, ensure safety & AS9100 / ISO9001 compliances, product quality, root cause analysis, corrective actions and risk mitigation
- Lead, train & mentor 20+ direct reports.
- Manage workflow, scheduling, update processes, procedures & policies to meet production goals.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of leadership running production operations for METALS FINISHING: plating – coating – anodizing – etching – dipping etc.. (PREFERRED) ** OTHER INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE being considered: CNC MACHINING / PLASTICS & INJECTION MOLDING / PAINTS & CHEMICALS / AUTOMOTIVE AND ELECTRONICS
- In-depth understanding of production schedules, resource allocation, process improvements, workflow schedules and capacity planning
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence change & collaborate with team members.
- LEAN & Continuous Improvement principles
