PROGRAM ENGINEERING MANAGER for Rotorcraft components
Job Description
We are searching for an experienced PROGRAM ENGINEERING MANAGER for a very stable 150+ year-old, $B internationally owned organization.
Their $7OM California division manufactures specialty DEFENSE / MILITARY rotorcraft MECHANICAL components specifically designed for use in engines, cockpits, cabin interiors etc..
This “highly visible” position is Customer Facing, reporting directly to the VP Programs & Engineering.
- You would manage a mechanical engineering team of approx. 15 (direct & indirect), running full life cycle programs for low volume – high mix manufacturing ($10M-$100M), manage production schedules for on time delivery and budgets.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering teams and customers on proposal negotiations & capture.
- R&D for NPD (design & development) proof of concept designs, cost estimates, materials, test, mitigate risk…
REQUIREMENTS:
- MECHANICAL engineering of critical components and parts for Rotorcraft / Helicopter / eVTOL
- “Hands-on” full life cycle DEFENSE program management experience
- Leadership of an engineering team for critical requirements
- Travel to company divisions, customer sites, suppliers, etc… as needed.
- US Citizenship (DoD clearance is a PLUS)
