VP of DEFENSE – Operations & Programs
Job Description
GNR has been retained by a well-established $70M organization seeking a “hands-on” VP of DEFENSE / SITE LEADER of Operations and Programs for its growing DEFENSE / MILITARY division in the Fort Lauderdale region.
The company operates in a very niche segment, spanning multiple industries and offers a well-balanced portfolio.
This is a “highly visible” leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO. We need an individual with strong leadership and experience leading OPERATIONS and PRODUCTION for DEFENSE products.
- Continue to update all operational policies, procedures and infrastructure to increase capacity and accommodate growth while mitigating risk(s), drive continuous improvements, and influence change.
- Collaborate with Engineering, BD / Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure that full life-cycle program requirements and deliverables are met.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of DEFENSE / AEROSPACE manufacturing & production experience - you’ll have P&L for the site approx. $20m
- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to ensure gov’t & military contact compliance, manage schedules, update policies and procedures and mitigate risks.
- Program Management is key as you will improve the PM infrastructure
- DoD / Military product manufacturing is a MUST - AS9100, Mil-Std's, ITAR
- US Citizenship required
